Thursday Thirteen: Virtual Gifts Edition
Gifts I would give, if money (and reality) weren't an issue:
1. For my Friends and Family--a cure for cancer. You all (my co-survivors) were amazing this past year, but I never, never, never want to do this again. No one else should have to, either.
2.For my husband--a quick and miraculous recovery from the hurricane that has been the last year or so of our lives. I can't fix it, but I will be here along side you as we dig out!
3.For the TQ--a secure knowledge of who you are in Christ, and how amazingly intelligent, talented and beautiful you are. It'll make piloting the teen years oh so much easier.
4.For my Roo--a passion to pursue your talents for the Lord, especially in the area of music. If I could figure out a way to make your practice time more joyous, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
5.For the Princess--a magic wand that you could wave and end your battle over the evil Finger Sucking Dragon. Then we'd definitely go and get your ears pierced!
6.For my Little Guy--a sledgehammer to destroy the wall that keeps whatever is in your head from being expressed by your mouth. You're working so hard in Speech and we're proud of you. We cant' wait until everyone understands you as well as we do!
7.For Sally-- A time/space portal that starts outside of your door and ends outside of mine. Barring that, a really, really kick-butt job for your dh here in Florida, complete with a HUGE relocation package! I MISS YOU!
8. For Laurie--I get to have you here for Christmas! I'm hoping that's a pretty decent gift. Just in case it's not...how 'bout a tropical cruise with the rest of the wildside girls (with in-room Starbucks delivery)?
9.For Susan--a pink room, of course! I'll come and help paint, and even sew the curtains for you.
10.For Amy--Fabulous reviews for your new book (due out in April). BTW, I got the proof today and I'm SO excited....
11. For Beck--A couple of hours to sit on your porch and sip some of that sweet tea (splenda in mine, please), a way to make your mom's coconut cake calorie free, and your own personal organization and decorating guru.
12.For Heather--Clean scans from here on out. Also, a lunch date IRL...we are going to make it happen in 2008!
13.For Kristin--An amazing new house in Colorado. Congratulations on your WA house selling so quickly!

Those are all such nice gifts.
I would also love a few hours to sit and chat with you over some splenda sweet tea (I've been taking mine diet lately as well). We're hoping, possibly, maybe, not a promise but thinking seriously to do a Disney trip in October when the kids have a long weekend break from school. I want to see you when we do!
Very nice list, Heather! IF (I mean) When I get a pink room, I'll call you for sure! I have it all layed out in my mind and furniture picked out in my dog-eared Pottery Barn catalog.
Have a fantastic weekend!
:-) Susan
LOVE all the holiday photos, the cookies, the amusement parks & the list.
Hope you had a VERY Merry Christmas.
Awww...THANKS so much for including me on your virtual gift list! Sure made my post-Christmas recovery much nicer. ;-)
I look forward to hearing what you think of the new version of Healing Promises. I'm SOO excited to have you be a part of it!
Heather,
This year was my best Christmas gift ever!! We had a wonderful time as a family--and as a couple. You and Dave are precious friends to us!!!
