Photo Friday Part 5: Odds and Ends
The "Sugared Peach" downstairs bath that started it all. The cross stitch on the wall was one of the first ones I did for my husband. It went with our double wedding ring quilt on our bed in married student housing. (Peach was the color in the early 90's!). The window valence is quilted, too...no, I was NOT up to sewing it (hooray for the JCPenny white sale!).
A teaser for things to come. This is the top part of the window treatment Mom and I made for the 'Tween Queen's upcoming 12th birthday. I have big plans for paint, rearranging furniture and lots and lots of funky ribbon embellished doodads for her room.

All of it looks so nice! (I especially like the Go Gators theme room....)
I so wish we lived closer to each other. I am so not gifted in the home decorating way. I bet you and I could get into some serious schemes, however, if I had you to spur me on!
It looks wonderful, Heather. I'm glad you're settling in and making it home (will keep praying the other house sells soon.)
Love,
Beck
I agree. It does look wonderful!! I am so excited to hear that IKEA is opening there in November. I'll be over for an IKEA run since I really considered DRIVING to Atlanta this month for M's room.
Great job, Heather...I love the pics.
Hugs to you.
Susan
You have redeemed your blogging self! Sorry for guilting you into it, but it's great to see what you've been doing. Not being a craft-y person myself, I am highly impressed! I love the Princess's room - particularly "The Chair". Maybe I'll get an in-person tour next week.
